Tattyreagh 4-12 Brackaville 2-11
Tattyreagh won the grade four minor championship title when a superb second half display saw them get the better of Brackaville at Dunmoyle in midweek.
The Roes got off to a perfect start with an early Ronan McHugh goal but Tattyreagh hit back a few minutes later when Ronan Collins converted from the penalty spot. McHugh and Collins traded points with Oisin McGirr and Kyle O’Hagan also on target for their respective sides. Brackaville shaded the first half 1-7 to 1-5 and could have been further in front but for a couple of excellent saves from Tattyreagh keeper Jamie McClenaghan.
Chris Armstrong scored an early second half goal for Tattyreagh and they never looked back with Luke Devlin, Collins and Odhran Starrs all weighing in with points. McHugh responded for the Roes before Tyran Mullan got a third major for the winners. Sixty seconds later Ronan McIntyre got a Brackaville goal but time was against them and Conor Mullan made sure of the silverware for Tattyreagh with their fourth major of the contest.
