Mulgrew Tops The Senior Charts

Donaghmore’s Shane Mulgrew has finished top scorer in division one with his 1-2 haul in their final game against Dromore seeing him finish a clear ten points of his nearest rival Cathal McCarron. McCarron was hampered by the fact that Omagh didn’t play their last two league games although one of those was against Donaghmore so it was doubtful if he could have dislodged Mulgrew who was the only player in senior football to break the sixty point barrier.
A late surge from Derrylaughan’s Liam Gervin saw him finish third with Kevin McNally, Niall Gormley, Nishy O’Neill and Peter Harte the only other players to score over fifty points. Errigal Ciaran’s Harte deserves special mention as he would have missed a number of games due to his involvement with Tyrone. The other three players who complete the top ten are Eoghan Carberry, Eoin McCusker and Simon O’Neill.
