There were wins tonight in the Murphy’s Gloves Senior and Intermediate Championship quarter finals for Macartans and Moy.

With Chloe Mc Caffrey, Slaine Mc Carroll, Niamh Mc Girr, Grainne Mc Kenna, Colleen Mc Quaid and Shannon Keenan in top form Macartans never looked back following Chloe Mc Caffrey’s early penalty conversion.

Aodh Ruadh battled hard but found Macs almost impossible to break down in defence and too hot to handle in attack. Rebecca Barker, Emma Jane Gervin, Beth Jones, Meabh Mallon, Becky Santos and Aine Mc Nulty battled hard throughout but Macs were not to be denied.

Final score 3-9 to 0-7 in favour of Macartans.

Moy recovered from a slow start against Fintona where they fell behind to two Erin Marlowe goals to win their Murphy’s Gloves Intermediate Championship quarter final 3-11 to 3-5. Emer Currie’s first half goal got the comeback started and second half goals from Reagan Fay and Lucy Mc Alary ensured that the light blues made it through to the last four.
