Errigal’s Scor Success Puts Tyrone Clear At The Top.

When the news was announced on Saturday evening that Errigal Ciaran’s Novelty Act had been declared winners in Scor Sinseir there was obvious delight among the large group of more than one hundred Tyrone supporters who had travelled south for the event. The title of course will mean an awful lot to all the followers of Scor not only within the Errigal club but right throughout the county. Interestingly this result puts Tyrone out on their own at the head of the National Table for Scor Sinseir titles. Before yesterday’s final got underway Tyrone had been tied at the top with Galway and Limerick on twenty four wins each. However as there were no winners in either of the other two counties Tyrone now stand proudly on their own as clear leaders on twenty five senior scor titles. A wonderful achievement which is due in no small way to the fantastic work ongoing throughout the clubs in the county and the graft being put in by the cultural sub committee of the county board.
Next year the All Ireland Final will take place in Derry and with that incentive in mind Tyrone clubs will be sure to put in a huge effort to add to the list of honours already won. Once again congratulations to Errigal on their All Ireland title and commiserations to a hugely talented and very gallant Omagh St Endas dance team who missed out narrowly on making it title number twenty six for the county.
