The girls of Sperrin Og know they will have to pull out all the stops on Saturday in their quest for a provincial title against Monaghan champions Inniskeen. The Tyrone girls have faced some tricky situations thus far in the championship as they came from behind to force extra time against Faughanvale in the quarter finals before narrowly surviving a second half comeback from Cavan champions Drumlane. However their opponents on Saturday are a side with pedigree and experience with key players Yvonne Quigley and Isobel Cairns sure to ask lots of questions of the Sperrin Og defence. In fairness to the Sperrin Og backs, they have been superb all year but will face a massive test of their character and ability in Saturday’s final. They will be hoping their forward line can make better use of the chances they create as their wides total over the last few games has been much too high. With Shauneen Ferrity, Laura Lee Mc Cullagh and Eimear Teague to provide the necessary leadership, the Greencastle girls know that a fully committed sixty minutes would make them Ulster Junior Champions for 2011. Let’s hope the luck is with them. Throw in time 3:00pm Venue : Truagh , County Monaghan.
