St Enda’s ladies and Caltra Cuans must do it all again after their much delayed All-Ireland JFC final ended all-square at Mullahoran today, writes Damien Donnelly.

Three previous postponements meant it was a case of action stations despite challenging enough conditions around the Cavan venue but at 0-7 each the sides finished still with the issue undecided.

The Omagh girls were 0-5 to 0-2 up at the midway mark thanks to the point taking efforts of Cara McCrossan in chief and Teri McCullagh.

Caltra came back into the match through Karen, Kilkenny and Orla Hannon but St Endas, despite being left with 14 players, battled hard throughout to keep their title dream afloat.

St Endas manager Vinny McCullagh says the St Enda’s team remain mighty keen to go one better in next week’s replay back at the same venue.

“Our lack of training on the grass these past few weeks left the side somewhat ring rusty but the mood among the girls is so determined ahead of the replay.

We will enjoy getting back on green grass hopefully this week just to sharpen up on certain aspects of our play and it will be all systems go for Saturday once more”, Vinny added.

The replay is scheduled for Mullahoran next Saturday weather permitting.
