Two Big Points For The Loch…

Having beaten Cookstown away from home last week Rock travelled to Loughmacrory in confident mood this evening but found the home team in anything but benevolent form.
Loughmacrory opened with an impressive 1-3 salvo and then led by 1-5 to 0-4 at the break with Ronan Ward and goalscorer Enda Ward in fine form for the St Teresa’s, along with Damian McAleer and Mark McCullagh.
Rock started the second half well and playing with the breeze narrowed the gap to a point in spite of being down to fourteen men, and losing Ciaran Gourley to injury. Scores from Enda and Ronan Ward stabilised things for Loughmacrory before Rock hit the net to level the game at 1-7 apiece.
Both sides pushed hard for the win and after Conor Mc Creesh had levelled things again for the visitors, following a neat Kevin Collins point, it looked like a draw was inevitable. However once again Ronan Ward stole the show and secured the two points for the home team with a late late winner, following a foul on substitute Ryan Keenan.
Final score Loughmacrory 1-9 Rock 1-8.
