Moortown maintained their unbeaten run but they were pushed to the wire by neighbours Ardboe. Shane McKeown and Conor McLernon got the St.Malachys goals with Daire Quinn contributing four points as they won 2-11 to 2-8. Dara McVey was outstanding in the winners defence with Jack McGuigan and Conan McLernon best in their attack. Michael O’Neill and David Mulgrew hit 1-3 each for the Rossas with Aidan O’Neill scoring a brace of points on a day when they were best served by Fintan Quinn, Conor Duffy, Kevin Coney, John Teague, David Mulgrew, Nathan Bell, Michael O’Neill, Manus Teague and Aidan O’Neill.

Moy beat Donaghmore 3-10 to 1-7 with Philip Mallon [3-1], Declan Conroy [6], Turlough Kelly, Francie Kelly and Patrick Lavery getting their scores with Michael Morgan, Chris O’Neill and Oisin McKeown all playing well for the winners. It finished honours even between Errigal Ciaran and Carrickmore, 1-7 apiece. Paddy O’Neill [3], Padraig McGirr [2] and Paudge McAnenly [2] got the Errigal points with Barry McCaffery getting their goal on a day when McAnenly, McGirr and Niall Kelly all played well. Mattie McGurk got the Carrickmore goal with Oisin McElroy, Paul McKay and Ronan Maguire all playing well for them.

Galbally played host to Cappagh at Pearse Park and they emerged comfortable 4-15 to 0-14 winners. Ryan Hagan and Mark Quinn scored two goals each for the winners with Ciaran Corrigan, Conn Bowman and John Hanna among their points, Ryan Bradley and Mattie Donnelly doing the baulk of the scoring for the visitors between them. Stewartstown had a comfortable win over Eglish with Kevin McConnell, Kevin Muldoon and Cathal McGready best on the day for the St.Patricks. Kildress edged out Newtownstewart 2-8 to 1-10 with Johnny Connolly [0-4], Ruairi Monaghan [1-1], Dara Loughran [1-0], Shane McNally [0-2] and Enda McAleer [0-1] the scorers for the Wolfe Tones. Aidan McSorley and Tiarnan McNamee notched three points each for the St.Eugenes, Patrick Hargan got their goal with Ciaran McSorley, Ciaran Duncan, Michael Coreless and Pearce McSorley grabbing a point each.

The last unbeaten record in U16 football fell at the weekend when Pomeroy were well beaten by Clonoe. Paul O’Neill, Fintan McClure, Sean Cullen and Caoimhin Donnelly all featured on the score sheet for the O’Rahillys with Reese Quinn and Shane Donnelly playing well as they recorded a 7-9 to 3-5 victory. Oran Devlin scored three goals with Martin Corrigan [3], Mickey Mallon and Adrian Barrow on target as well but Rock lost. Killeeshil beat Brackaville 4-8 to 4-6 with Darragh Hamill, Caolan Devlin and Pascal Donaghy all scoring for the St.Marys with Marc Staunton, Glen Gallagher, James Murray, Connor Mellon and Cormac Donaghy all playing well. Coalisland beat Naomh Mhuire 2-14 to 1-10 with Sean Corr, Cormac O’Hagan, Shea Oliver, Gerard Woods, Eoghan Hampsey and Michael McKernan all on target for the Fianna.
