Tyrone as a county has long been admired for the quality of their teams and their teamwork. Many GAA fans, coaches and managers have come to watch football and participate in sessions within the county in the hope of discovering that little hidden gem that might well make the difference to their team.  Without being parochial about it we of course have known for years that this is a special place and now it appears the Ulster Council have finally recognised that the best place to find the winning formula and develop a winning team is right in the middle of the O’Neill County.

In fact it is hardly more than a stone’s throw away from the home of our county senior manager and a place no doubt that he himself takes great inspiration from. It is of course Todd’s Leap Activity Centre and members of the Ulster Council and their coaching officers spent the day at the Ballygawley based centre on Monday participating in team building activities and generally enjoying the facilities on offer. Dr Eugene Young and Tony Scullion, who originally found fame as Derry footballers, will surely be putting Todd’s Leap on top of their list of things to do to help develop better teamwork. Perhaps they might even suggest to John Brennan that a trip to the Tyrone based centre might well be what is required for his side as they prepare to face Westmeath in a must win Division Two league game on Sunday!!!!!!!
