Under 16 Ladies Success For Pomeroy And An Charraig Mhór

Carrickmore and Pomeroy have enjoyed successful seasons in youth ladies football with both teams claiming titles. Carrickmore, with Sorcha Gormley in fine form defeated Omagh in the U16 League final on a scoreline of 8-5 to 1-13 having led by a single point at half time 2-3 to 0-8.
Played at Kildress the game was competitive throughout and it was only late on that Carrickmore stamped their authority on the fixture before pulling away to win comfortably in the end. Sorcha Gormley top scored with 6-4 for the winners.
Pomeroy have done trojan work in promoting ladies football this year and recently completed a league and championship double at under 16 level.
