Tyrone minor hurlers enjoyed another win as they saw off the challenge of Kildare at Garvaghey while the county’s under 16 Camogie side recorded a very impressive win over Cavan at Derrytresk.

The hurlers worked hard in the first half to lead 1-4 to 0-6 at the break but pulled away to win comfortably 3-8 to 0-7 with their scores coming from Francie Hurson 0-2, Pierce Mullin 1-1, Aodhan Molloy 2-2, Padraig Mc Crystal 0-1 and Oisin O’Neill 0-1.

The under 16 Camogie side dominated against Cavan and ran out comfortable 7-11 to 1-4 winners having led at the break 3-7 to 0-2.  Catherine Moohan, Gemma Daly and Emer Cunningham were on target for first half goals for Tyrone while Emer Cunningham hit three second half goals for the winners. Grace Buxton carried most of the scoring threat for Cavan.
