Wins In Division One for Omagh and Errigal Ciaran
The only two unbeaten sides in division one met at O’Neills Healy Park on Thursday evening and it was Omagh who came out on top to make it five wins from five to continue to lead the table. The St.Endas led 0-7 to 0-5 at the break before an early second half goal from Brian Og Campbell extended their margin. It took a late goal from the hosts from Eoghan McNamee though to win the day as it finished 2-9 to 0-11, the goal coming moments after Mattie Donnelly had hit the post with a rasping shot that would have levelled matters. Micheal Gallagher, Conor O’Donnell, Barry Tierney and Oisin Miller were among the points for Omagh with Lee Brennan top scoring for the St.Macartans and Richie Donnelly, Mattie Donnelly and Rory Brennan also on target.
Goals won the day for Errigal Ciaran as they triumphed 3-13 to 0-13 over Coalisland at Father Campbell Park. Peter Harte got the first major with less than sixty seconds on the clock before Eoin Kelly added another just before halftime. Rory Campbell, Bailey Leonard, Joe Oguz and Ruairi Canavan featured among the points for their respective sides. Leading 2-9 to 0-8 at the break the visitors ended the game as a contest three minutes after the restart when Odhran Robinson found the net. Paddy McNeice and Paudie Hampsey exchanged points with Harte and Canavan as they visitors ran out comfortable winners in the end.
