It was a victory for hard work and perseverance in Rock on Thursday night as Both Domhnaigh fought back from four points down at the break to win the Grade 3 Minor Championship crown. 

Killeeshil led 2-3 to 0-3 at the first water break thanks to points from Christopher Staunton, Cahill Rafferty, Liam Traynor and Daniel Rafferty and two well taken goals from Liam Traynor and Eoin Millar.  Both Domhnaigh had Odhran Brolly, Cian McConnell and Lorcan McCullagh to thank for their three points during that period.  

If Killeeshil dominated the opening quarter it was Both Domhnaigh turn after the water break winning that period of the match 0-4 to 0-2.  The Both Domhnaigh points coming from the boots of Lorcan McCullagh (2), Garrett O’Neill and Odhran Brolly while the St Mary’s men were restricted to two Daniel Rafferty points.  Half Time Score – Killeeshil 2-5 Both Domhnaigh 0-7.

That four point Killeeshil lead at the break quickly moved to an eight point lead within minutes of the restart as Liam Traynor hit a point and Eoin Millar found the net.  That goal would prove to be Killeeshil’s last score.  Both Domhnaigh began the comeback with a well taken John McKenna penalty in the 38^th minute.  

By the second water break the Both Domhnaigh had helped themselves to another three points, two from the boot of Garrett O’Neill and a fine long range curling effort from midfielder Eoghan McConnell.  Lorcan McCullagh and Garrett O’Neill points dragged Both Domhnaigh level with six minutes to go and it looked like the game was heading for extra time.  

Both Domhnaigh had other ideas and following a well worked side line ball it was left to midfielder Garrett O’Neill to land the winner as the game entered injury time.  Full Time Score – Both Domhnaigh 1-13 Killeeshil 3-6.
