Cappagh exited the Ulster Minor Tournament in St.Paul’s when they lost out to a strong Kilcoo side on Saturday on a 3-6 to 1-4 scoreline. The Down champions had the wind at their backs in the first half and they made it count with goals from Justin Clarke, Sean Og McCusker and Jamie McKee. Cappagh had points from Mark Hayes and Gavin Potter with the latter grabbing a late first half goal.

Potter was sent off in controversial circumstances in the opening moments of the second half to leave Cappagh facing a uphill battle. Joe McGurk pointed but that was all that they could manage in the second half. Clarke took his personal haul to 1-5 with senior star Sheelan Johnston also on target and while Kilcoo had Luke Clarke sent off late on they still advanced to the last four of the competition.
