The much anticipated local derby with Armagh is fast approaching and Tyrone defender Conor Gormley is well aware of the task that faces the Red Hands but it’s a contest that the Carrickmore clubman is eagerly looking forward to.

“Armagh will relish the chance to come to Omagh and try and put one over on us but we are ready for the challenge. It’s a massive game and neither side will need any extra motivation but these are the sort of games that you do all the hard training for.

Jamie Clarke is the new kid on the block so to speak and he has been very impressive to date hitting 2-3 the last day out. He can score with either foot and has taken some of the pressure of Steven McDonnell who has led the line for Armagh so well this past ten years.

There is no doubt that our defence will have to keep those two under wraps if we are to keep our championship hopes alive. Its all or nothing now with the losers’ summer coming to an end and we don’t want to be thinking along those lines just yet.”
