Clonoe senior Ladies opened their League campaign when they welcomed Badoney to Páirc Uí Rathaille. It was the Clonoe girls who picked up their first two league points of the year with a convincing win.

It was Badoney who registered the first score of the game after a well taken point from play. However, Clonoe responded quickly with a fine score from Niamh O’Hagan. Badoney added another point before Clonoe finally took control of the game. Briana Quinn scored a free and a point from play with Brona MacOscar hitting a fine point also. Badoney replied with a point which was to be their last score of the half. Clonoe registered further points from Brona MacOscar, Aimee Hughes and Aoife Coyle (2) before Brona MacOscar scored two goals just before half time.

Badoney started the second half with two points before Clonoe registered their first score of the half, a goal by Aimee Hughes. Badoney replied with another point before Aoife O’Hagan scored a point for Clonoe. Badoney then started to chip away at the Clonoe lead scoring 1-02 before Brona Mac Oscar added another point for Clonoe. Badoney replied with another point before Orlagh Gavin scored two points in quick succession. Badoney scored the last point of the game. However, it was the Clonoe girls who got their League campaign of to a winning start with their first two league points of the season.
