Fintona Pearses travelled to Dunmoyle to take on Errigal in round two of the league and came away with a 2-9 to 0-7 win. Darren Carson (5), Jody Farrell (1) and DD Mc Dermott were the Errigal scorers on the day while Conor Mc Gillion (1-5), Aiden Donnelly (1-1), Peter Mc Glinn (0-2) and corner back Niall Murray did the scoring for the Pearses.
Strabane opened their season with a comprehensive win over Fianna Thirds. Nathan Crawford bagged 1-2 for the Coalisland lads while Ronan Coney and Paul Drumm were both among the points as well. Danny Mc Bride 2-5, Oran Mc Grath 1-8, Conal Crawford 2-1, Haydn Mc Namee 2-0 and Gary Quigg 1-3 top scored for the Sigersons.
Drumquin lost out to a hard working Stewartstown Harps side on a score of 3-9 to 3-5. Sean Mc Donagh (2-2) top scored for the Tones while Oisin Gormley hit 1-2. A Shea O’Neill penalty after two minutes gave the Harps the perfect start but they were made to fight for every ball after that. Gareth Devlin hit 1-4  while Dylan Mc Ilhatton also found the net for the winners.
Clan na nGael and Castlederg met in another north Tyrone derby that once more ended all square on 1-12 apiece. Mind you the CNG lads will be disappointed having led at the break CNG 1.07 C’derg 0.03. Shea Browne scored four first half points while Mark Henry goaled after 20 mins following a defensive slip. Castlederg were much improved after the break with three quick points while a 44th minute goal inspired them to take something from the game.  CNG scorers: Mark Henry 1.0, Shea Browne 4 pts, Danny Ball 2 pts ,Joe Ball 2 pts, Johnny Knox 2 pts, Ronan Devine 1 pt kevin Moran 1 pts. Castlederg scorers: Paddy Lynch 0-5, Adam Traynor 0-4, Darren Traynor 1-0, Cian Harper, Chill Logue, Cathal Logue and Fintan Gallagher 0-1 each.
Niall Mc Elroy top scored with 0-9 for Aghaloo as they saw off the challenge of Killyman. Jody Mc Glone bagged 2-2 for the winners while Niall Henderson chipped in with 1-2. Aghaloo led 2-8 to 0-1 at the break and looked very impressive throughout. Killyman bagged two goals late on from cathal and Enda Mc Gahan while Ronan Mc Veigh clipped over a point for Killyman. Final score 3-18 to 2-2 in favour of Aghaloo.
Augher hosted Brocagh and produced their best display of the past couple of seasons to win 5-17 to 0-7.  Decky Connolly, Conor Mahoney, Bernard Mc Kenna, Conor Hackett and Finnbar Mc Elroy all found the net while Darragh Kavanagh landed 0-8 to his team’s cause. Micky Hughes contributed 0-6 for the Emmetts while Ciaran Campbell also hit a point on a night when the O”Neills showed they are going to be a force to be reckoned with this year.
Glenelly defeated Urney 3-12 to 1-7 on what was a disappointing night for the St Columba’s. Seamus Harkin top scored for the winners with 0-6 while Garrett O’Neill (1-1), Rory Kennedy (1-0) and Nathan Mc Laughlin (1-0) each bagged goals for the winners. Adrian Maxwell hit 1-2 for Urney while Jamie Mc Aleer (3), Thomas Devlin (1) and Sean Maxwell were among the points for the border men.
