The final league game of the weekend took place at Loughmacrory in front of their recently opened new stand. The home side came out on top in what was a very competitive game between two very committed sides. Edendork were on top for long periods of the opening half following some fine score taking by Darren Mc Curry and Ciaran Hughes. However a strong closing five minutes of the half from the Loch saw the sides reach the break with only a point between them as Edendork led 1-6 to 0-8. The second half saw much improvement from the home side and their ability to plunder goals proved crucial with Ronan Ward, Aarron Kelly and Niall Grimes all finding the net. However Edendork refused to throw in the towel and although reduced to fourteen players they made a real game of it right up to the final whistle. Second half sub Brian Mc Guckin found the net to leave the final score Loughmacrory 3-11, Edendork 2-10.

Pomeroy were the first side to get points on the board this weekend when they made home advantage count against Brackaville on Saturday afternoon. John Loughran and Kieran McGeary got their goals as they ran out 2-12 to 0-13 winners at Plunkett Park, Paddy Gervin, Ciaran Gervin and Sean Day featuring among the points for the Roes.

Greencastle continued to set the pace at the top of the table after a comfortable 2-12 to 1-6 win over Galbally. Edan Clarke and Mark Carson got their goals with John McCullagh, Shane Coyle and Cathair McCullagh hitting eight points between them. Paul Rafferty got the Galbally goal with James Lennon and Ciaran McCrory contributing points.

Derrylaughan came from behind at the break to overcome Aghyaran at the Loughshore. Ronan McHugh got an early goal for the St.Davogs on a day when Aidan Connolly and Caolan Dolan featured among the points for them. Shea Coney got both goals for the Kevin Barrys with Conor McCabe, Ciaran Quinn and Darragh Carney all on the scoresheet as well.

Paul Dillon scored a late point to earn Stewartstown a draw at Kildress. Macaulay Quinn and Gareth Devlin were the goal scorers for the Harps with Frank McGurk, Matthew Heaney and Johnny Connolly among the points for the Wolfe Tones with Philip Lennon their goal scorer.

Kevin Mossey top scored for Gortin with Shane Clarke getting their goal early in the second period as the St.Patricks got a good win away to Urney, Jamie McAleer with the hosts’ goal. Dungannon were convincing winners away to Newtownstewart with Patrick Quinn bagging two goals and Sean  Anthony Burns also finding the net.
