Donaghmore Win Grade One U16 League Title

Donaghmore are grade one U16 League winners after a strong final quarter saw them overcome Carrickmore at Pearse Park in Galbally on Saturday afternoon. Donaghmore began well with points from Conor Cush and a well taken Ronan Donnelly goal. Carrickmore though fought back with points from Aidan Loughran and a brilliant Daithi McCallan gaol to leave it all square at the break. Three early second half points from the boot of Lorcan McGarrity had Carrickmore in front but then the winners got on top. Cush landed a number of frees as well as getting a goal late on as it finished 2-11 to 1-7.
