Double Defensive Blow For Tyrone
Saturday 05.07.2014

Tyrone’s championship hopes have been dealt a double blow with the news that Peter Harte and PJ Quinn were both injured while playing for their clubs on Friday evening. Wing back Harte sustained a broken wrist in the early minutes of the second half against Augher.
He went to hospital and x-rays confirmed a break which will keep him on the side-lines for a number of weeks and in fact could well end his county season. In further bad news for manager Mickey Harte, PJ Quinn pulled up in a league game on Friday night as well after only five minutes.
Moortown were playing Carrickmore and the corner back was racing for possession when he suddenly stopped. Having only made his first start of the season for Tyrone in their qualifier win over Louth he must be rated doubtful for next weekend’s game against either Monaghan or Armagh.
