Drumragh produced a solid performance in the Connollys of Moy Junior Championship to defeat Errigal 3rds on a score line of 0-19 to 2-7. The Sarsfields were on top from the off and although Errigal did show a few bright sparks of skill and craft Drumragh were never really threatened.

With Daniel O’Neill and Niall Mc Carney in good form Drumragh always had outlets and both players bagged early points as the Clanabogan outfit reached the first quarter leading 0-5 to 0-2. Points from Senan Canavan and Robbie Harper closed the gap but it was Drumragh who finished the half strongly with points from Mc Carney (2) and Sean Mc Gale to go in at the break leading by five 0-9 to 0-4.

Errigal began the second half like they meant business creating a couple of decent scoring chances. However it was Drumragh who carried the greater scoring threat with points from Malachy Mc Manus, Niall Mc Carney and the elusive Dan O’Neill who looked dangerous every time he was in possession.

Kian Murphy pointed to put Drumragh nine clear and looking comfortable before they were rocked back on their heels with two Errigal goals one from Dasher Mc Dermott and the second from Ryan Lynch. Suddenly the composure was missing and Errigal looked to have the momentum. Drumragh settled things with a point from Eoin Montgomery and one each from Niall Mc Carney and Ronan Maguire as the clock ticked down. Ryan Lynch finished off the scoring for Errigal as they bowed out of the championship on a score line of 0-19 to 2-7.
