Dungannon Clarkes remain on course for promotion at the end of their centenary season following a comfortable five point win over Eglish this afternoon.  Played on the superb Eoghan Ruadh pitch the Clarkes never looked in much trouble after they dominated the third quarter outscoring their opponents 1-3 to no score.

The sides were level at the break 1-5 apiece.  Dungannon opened the first half scoring inside 45 seconds when Lorcan Mallon marched through the Eglish defence to slide the ball to the net.  Patrick Molloy was in fine form from frees throughout the game and he got the opening Clarkes point.  Ryan McKenna then split the posts for Eglish before he finished off a fine move to the net in the 13th minute.

Points from Patrick Molloy and Sean McCann and Paul Mason ensured both sides went in level at 1-5 each at the short whistle.

Dungannon took control early after the break and had another 1-3 notched up by the end of the third quarter.  Patrick Molloy got the Clarkes second goal in the 40th minute which was bookmarked by two points from the same player.  James Morgan swapped points with Paul Mason and Shane McCann in the final quarter which also saw an excellent score from Tiernan Morgan after a fine run from close to the sideline.

Final Score – Dungannon 2-10 Eglish 1-8
