Carrickmore

The final rounds of the Tyrone Feile were completed this afternoon at Garvaghey and finished up with the Grade Two title going to Stewartstown after they saw off the challenge of Drumragh in the final and Carrickmore defeating old rivals Errigal Ciaran in the Grade One competition.

Stewartstown defeated Drumquin in the semi final while Drumragh accounted for Moortown to make it through to the final. The Harps prevailed courtesy of a few late score.

Meanwhile the Grade One semi final between Ardboe and Carrickmore was a nip and tuck affair but two early first half goals from Sean Donnelly and Cal Mc Aleer proved decisive in the end. In spite of the best of efforts from Ardboe they just could not close the gap and Carrickmore made it through to the last two.

Their opponents would be Errigal Ciaran who came back from a first half seven point deficit against Eglish to secure their place in the Grade One decider.

Both sides produced some excellent football in the final with Cal Mc Aleer, Padraig Donaghy, Michael Mc Callan, Sean Donnelly, Vincent Gormley and Brayden Mc Nally starring for Carrickmore. Peadar Kelly was outstanding for Errigal in goals while Niall Kelly, Elliot Kerr, Aodhan Quinn and Senan Mc Garvey battled to the end for Errigal.

Carrickmore were deserving winners and received the cup from Feile co-ordinator Des O’Doherty.
