Holy Trinity Cookstown 4-11 Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine 2-8

Holy Trinity Cookstown are through to the All Ireland Paddy Drummond Cup final after an amazing comeback saw them overpower Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine in a cracking encounter at Abbottstown on Wednesday afternoon.

The Kerry lads completely dominated the opening quarter to establish a 2-5 to 0-1 lead and there looked as though there would only be one outcome. Daniel Casey got their first goal and a penalty from Dylan O’Connor put them in the driving seat.

Holy Trinity though rolled up their sleeves to play some fantastic football. Mark Devlin, Tarlach Quinn and Pauric Lagan all hit quality points while full forward Tiernan Mackle palmed in a goal. It was all Holy Trinity at this stage and Tiernan Quinn levelled matters with a superb goal.

It was 2-6 each at the break and Donal O’Sullivan and substitute Tom Murnane edged the Kerry lads two in front. They failed to score again though as Holy Trinity assumed complete control. Devlin took his personal haul to 0-6 with Oran Mulgrew and Sean McKenna getting goals as they eased through to the decider.
