Hotshots from round five in association with NANG Construction.

For the second week running the leading marksman in the County, in association with NANG Construction, came from Intermediate football as Gareth Devlin weighed in with 2-6 as Stewartstown ended Tattyreagh’s perfect start to the new season. He is joined in the hotshots table by Harps teammate Dan Lowe who scored 2-3 in the same game.

Darragh Kavanagh was the top scorer in division two last season and he was in fine form on Sunday as Augher accounted for Cookstown in a high scoring encounter, he finished with 0-11 to his name. Aaron McCarney, last season’s division three top scorer, matched that tally as Fintona made home advantage count against Drumquin.

Cathair Gallagher is proving to be a very consistent forward for Loughmacrory and his 2-5 haul enabled the St.Theresas to beat Kildress. James McGahan also finished with 2-5 to his name but he was on the losing side as Cookstown came up just short on their trip to Augher.

Errigal Ciaran Thirds caused one of the shocks of the weekend when ending the unbeaten record of a fancied Rock side with Pio McDermott playing a major role with 1-7 to his name. Lee Brennan, the top marksman in senior ranks in 2017, kicked nine points as Trillick eased to victory over Donaghmore while a return of 1-6 from Sean Day helped Brackaville defeat local rivals Killyman.
