Two Points For Gortin

Gortin picked up a welcome two points on Friday night when a late rally saw them end the unbeaten start of the season by Naomh Eoghan, winning 1-10 to 0-11.
Liam Og Mossey, Peter Kennan, Ryan Mayse and Eoin Devine were among the sides points in the first half before an injury time goal from Eoghan McGarvey enabled Gortin to lead 1-5 to 0-5 at halftime.
Devine and Kevin Gallagher swapped points with Keenan on the restart before the visitors drew level through Devine, Gallagher and Conor Langan. With time running out it was anybody’s game but Gortin fired over points from Brian McGarvey and Odhran Brolly to win the day.
