U14 Championship Semi Finals Wrap Up

The grade one U14 championship final will be between Galbally and Derrylaughan after both overcame Dungannon and Dromore respectively. The Pearses triumphed on a 5-17 to 2-7 score line in Donaghmore with Daniel Kerr [2], Conor Donaghy, Kieran Holland and Cathal Kelly getting their goals with Callum Kelly, Caoimhin Quinn, Donaghy, Kerr and Holland featuring among the points. Mark McKearney and Daley Jones got the Clarkes’ majors with Conor McKee, James Morgan and Ryan Jones among their points.

Derrylaughan stay on course for the double after accounting for Dromore in Killeeshil on a 5-24 to 1-1 score line. Tomas Carney [9], Paul Donnelly [2-1], Shay Gordon [1-2], James Donnelly [4], Brian Kennedy [3], Shane Crew [3], Lucia O’Hagan [1-0], Brendan Kennedy [1-0], Caolan Hughes [1] and Caolan Corr [1] got their scores in a fine all round team performance. Cahir Goodwin got the Dromore goal with Jack McShane excellent in defence on an evening when they failed to play the football that they are capable off.

Naomh Mhuire are into the grade two final after edging past Newtownstewart in a thriller at Augher. Niall McNulty [2-1], Tori Nicholas [1-2], Eoin Donnelly [2], Cormac McNamee [1] and Stephen Patton [1] were the St.Eugenes scorers as it finished 1-14 to 3-7. Naomh Mhuire will have to wait to final out who their opponents are in the final after Clonoe and Stewartstown drew in Galbally. Mark O’Neill [2-1], Gerard O’Neill [1-0], Shay Burke [2] and Fergal Mulgrew [1] were the Harps scorers on a night when they had good displays from Fergal O’Neill in goals, Nathan McNally, Stephen Talbot and Kyran Robinson in defence, Shay Burke in midfield and Mark O’Neill and Peadar Lowe up front as it finished 3-4 to 1-10.

The grade three decider will be between Strabane and Trillick after they accounted for Eglish and Eskra respectively. Tom McDermott [6], Jack Pegurson [1-3], Eoin Arbuckle [1-1], Conor McGettigan [1-0] and Adam Bonner [2] were the scorers for the young Sigersons on a night when Aodhan Bonner, Rory Gormley, Pegurson, McDermott and Arbuckle all played well for them. Mickey Woods scored a goal from the penalty spot with Eoin O’Hagan and Jason Meegan featuring among the points but it wasn’t enough for Eskra despite good performances from O’Hagan, Woods, Cathal Arkinson and Cealan McGirr.

Glenelly are through to the grade four final after beating Clann na Gael at Owen Roes. Aodhan McConnell [2-4], Michael McMullan [1-3], Shane Devine [1-1], Gavin McGarvey [1-1], Fergus O’Neill [1-0], Darren Sheerin [1-0], Cahir McCullagh [2], Ciaran Clerkin [1] and Cormac McConnell [1] were the Glenelly scorers with Ryan Molloy in goals, Rory Kennedy and Cormac McConnell in defence, Michael McMullan at midfield and Aodhan McConnell, Dara O’Hagan and Gavin McGarvey up front all playing well for them.
