Tyrone entertained Donegal in their under 16 All Ireland Camogie series at Killyclogher on Sunday and came away with a convincing win based on teamwork and workrate. Donegal began well with Roisin Butler their star performer taking scores from all over the field but once Tyrone settled to the task with Cara Hughes, Katie Daly and Catherine Moohan outstanding they won comfortably in the end.

Butler scored a couple of superb individual efforts to put Donegal in front but by half time Tyrone were in the ascendancy and led 2-11 to 3-3. Catherine Moohan hit 1-10 in the opening half with Annie Loughran and Siobhan Mc Nulty also among the first half scorers.

The game remained competitive in the early stages of the second half but a goal scoring burst mid way through the second period ended the game as a contest with goals from Mc Nulty, Rosie Leadon and Kate Daly putting the home side 5-14 to 4-6 ahead and all but out of sight. Tyrone added a further brace of goals from Eabha Coyle and Catherine Moohan to claim the win on a final score of 7-18 to 5-7.

Congratulations to both teams and match officials for producing such a high quality game played in very warm conditions. Thanks also to Killyclogher club for taking the game at such short notice.
