St.Patricks Academy Dungannon made history on Tuesday afternoon when they became the first Tyrone school to win Ulster Hurling Kirk Cup. They defeated a fancied Edmond Rice side in the final at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena on a 2-12 to 1-12 score line. Team captain Sean O’Hagan led by example at full back with Ruairi Devlin outstanding at centre half back. It was a superb all round team performance with Andrew Byrne, Sean Ciao Corr, Michael Mannelly and Jack Ryan others to catch the eye. Ryan hit four points, Padraig McGinn and John Lee scored 1-1 each, Devlin notched three points with Corr, Conor McCabe and Corin Kelly grabbing a point each.
