There were three division three league games scheduled for Monday evening but one of them, Coalisland 3rds v Aghaloo was conceded before throw in leaving Strabane v Errigal 3rds and Donaghmore 3rds v Urney down for decision.
Strabane defeated Errigal 3-17 to 0-10 with Haydn Mc Namee (1-4)continuing to lead the line in spite of the absence of Oran Mc Grath. Others to get among the scorers for the Sigersons were Niall Mc Ginley (1-2), Conal Crawfard (0-4), Mark Mc Adams (1-0), Ruairi Gormley (0-2), Warner Mullen (0-2), Mark Roarty, Gary Quigg and Oisin Kelly. Errigal scores came fromDavy Harte (0-2), Sean Mc Cann (0-1), Darren Canavan (0-4), Pascal Donnelly (0-2) and Michael Harte (0-1).
Monday night’s second fixture which finished 1-9 apiece, saw Urney travel to Donaghmore to take on the Village 3rds. The north Tyrone lads looked to be heading for victory only to be denied by a late point from distance by Conor Mc Ginn. Johnny Lafferty, who finished the game with a hamstring injury, top scored with 1-5 of his team’s total while Ryan Henry (3) and Shea Sweeney were also among the points. Lafferrty’s injury however will be a huge blow to his team and they will be hoping it is not too serious. Donaghmore’s scorers on the night were Bob Gallagher (2), Mark Faloon (2), Matthew Ace (1), Ciaran Mc Cann (1-0), Conor Mc Ginn (2), James Mc Cann (1) and Dan Baird (1).
