Clarkes Complete U14 Double

Dungannon completed the O’Neills grade 1 U14 double when they got the better of neighbours Donaghmore in an entertaining championship final at Stewartstown on Sunday afternoon.
There was little between the sides throughout and in fact it was honours even at the break 1-7 to 2-4. Ronan Cassidy got the Donaghmore goal with Cormac Drayne and Conor Cush among their points. Jack Donnelly and Ryan Devlin both found the net for the Clarkes with James Quinn getting points.
Scores proved more difficult to come by in the second half with Quinn adding to his tally and Eamon Kilpatrick playing a real Captain’s role for the winners with two points inside a minute to open up a gap. Drayne got two late frees for Donaghmore but Dungannon held out to win 2-9 to 1-9 with their keeper Harry Morgan making a couple of vital saves.
