Tyrone hurlers were made to battle all the way this afternoon in their Division 3B National League final clash with Leitrim. Tyrone played second fiddle for most of the game as the Connacht side, playing in the shadow of Ben Bulben, held the upper hand for long periods of the match. However when it was required most with the scores tied late in the game up stepped Tyrone star forward Damien Casey to score the winning point with a free from inside his own half. It was a score good enough to win any game but fitting of a national final and gave Tyrone the win their season’s play merited. (more to follow).
